Oh I agree whole heartedly. If properly canned they last a LONG time. But the newer design of the with the pull top just requires you to check them on a regular basis and keep them in a controlled environment. They can't just be put on a shelf and forgotten till needed.

Perhaps. But more than a few of the accounts are of cans kept in basements and pantries where the temp is controlled. Personally, even if the key broke, it is easily fixed with a pair of needle nose pliers.

The old SPAM, perhaps. The new stuff with the pull top, not so much. Have read a number of personal accounts of people who go to check their stocks and find SPAM that is only a month or so past "sell by" date bulging and ready to explode. Great Depression of 2016

Uhm... using your example of blacks and whites wanting to get married, it was people like this clerk who perpetuated and enforced that nonsense. She would have been the one refusing to issue a license to a mixed couple despite the fact that the law and the courts said you had to. As I said, she...

Other than the taxes and immigration, all of those other issues can be resolved via contracts, wills, living wills, trusts, power of attorney forms, etc.

No, she was jailed for failing to fulfill the duties of her office. If she can not do her job as prescribed by law then she should have stepped down. No different than someone taking a job as a cashier at a grocery store then refusing to touch/checkout pork products or alcohol. Again, if you...

Actually, I believe the prohibition of processing horse meat in the States was rescinded a number of years back. Just no market for it here so, it is processed and shipped overseas.
