I am still in the stage where I expect him to be here, surprised when I realize... oh yeah, he's gone! He and my hubs are very close and it is hubs who is really missing him. Luckily for me, I still have one at home, my older son. He works full time and doesn't know what he wants to do when he...
:frow No more adventures??
Hubs and I just moved our 17 yr old up to Montana for his first year of college. It's only about 16 1/2 hours away by car. :thCompleted the first week of school and seems pretty happy. He got very lucky with getting a great roommate in the dormitory... local kid with...
Sorry for you, mum, but good on Charlie! He must be very excited to head out on his own, and he wouldn't feel ready to go if his parents hadn't been so great at raising him. :hugs
Sure there's not a sheep sneaking in there and razoring off the grass? :p
They are lucky to have green. All pasture here is dry, brown, and crunchy, unless you water, which no one does because it's futile.
1st place!! :woot You beat them all.
Biomechanics of the bend... a whole other world I know nothing about. Is it all under the rider's control, or is there a learning curve for the horse? Just show Lottie the diagrams. I'm sure she'll get it then! :D This is dressage you are doing?
She is...
Scooter is doing fine with the meds so far. No more seizures which is very good because he is a rare case that got life threatening pulmonary edema... the seizure caused a hormone release. Med makes him hungry and sleepy. I measure his food out for the day and give him several small meals so he...
Look what my son rescued from the road this evening.
Baby red tailed hawk. He watched a car hit the poor thing. Taking it to the bird rescue center in the morning. Doesn't seem to be too badly off.
Cheerful looking, isn't it?
I have a utility sink in the garage, but he constantly tries to get out. Very strong for his size, and his constant pulling and straining ruins my back. He's certainly no fan of bathing, but he always seems to feel better after. :)
Poor dog had a couple of grand mal seizures last month...
I thought maybe peroxide or keeping them wrapped. Washing's a lot of work. I can't even get Scooter washed. He stinks! Messes up my back when I bathe him, but we're getting to the point where a little pain will be worth being able to take a deep breath around him. :sick
He's cute, huh? Looks...
I was thinking it might be something like that. Sounds like a great job for outdoor lovers and bird dogs. Does Charlie ever ride horses? Seems like that would be a fun job too, taking people out riding.
Have to ask... what is the point of a gate like this? Prevent vehicles from going up the path? Seems too narrow to worry about cars going up there. You can lift a bicycle over. Motorcycles?
Another question about what Charlie is studying... you called it a gamekeeper's course (I think?). What...
