That member hasn't been around for 6 years, but I can tel you how I administered the monistat(miconazole). I used the cream and mixed about an 1-2" long squirt of it into crumble feed, letting it sit in a warm place until it was absorbed in the crumble. She chowed it right down.

That's normal as the food is processed....send them to roost with full crops, withhold food and water over night, crop should be empty by morning.
The Monistat cures the fungal infection that happens when a crop is non functional for a while from other reasons.
What an interesting thread.....I search a bit further and found the sour crop is often a part of an impacted crop......
which jives with several peoples experience of having to treat impacted crop after the sour part was cleared.
The fungal issues can come from the crop not functioning...
