So I just hopped on the Ideal web site and noticed that their BA's and BO's are now back-ordered until May, so if I wanted to add extras to your order, they'll be out of what I want when the Brabanters you want become available!
If I get chicks in late March, could I assume they'd be able to be out in the coop without heat by mid May in our area?
*My first trip away is May 13th (my son is graduating from Vanderbilt in Tennessee so we have a 4 day weekend planned...I can't believe I forgot that when planning spring...
If you tweak your order, can you add in a Black Austrolorp and a Buff Orpington (pullets) for me? I would take the BO, the BA, a Cuckoo Maran and an EE. And if you end up getting Columbian Wyandottes, I'd take one of those, too...if not, then I'd probably take a Brabanter. I'd like to end up...

I"ve been MIA for a few months but I'm back. Residing in beautiful, snowy Fitchburg. My flock got wiped out about 2 weeks ago, still deciding what to do for replacements. I have to wait until spring though to redo the run and coop door.
Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! Do you know what got...
I'm from North Central Mass, too (Fitchburg). There are also other Mass people on the New England forum in this section.
I don't have chickens yet, this is my summer for planning the coop/run, but I'm having trouble with black bears in my yard this spring! They keep coming back. I do feed...
