    Duck Breed Focus - Muscovy

I removed my loud & aggressive drake 10 days ago, and I've enjoyed the peace. However, at times the remaining ladies go a bit crazy: loud chirping, open mouths, overly excited, "hard" nibbling of shoes/socks/pants. They are now 18-19 weeks, eggs should be coming soon. I wonder if they miss...

    Duck Breed Focus - Muscovy

Great tips. The aggression really started in the last couple of weeks as they grew old enough to mate: huffing & puffing whenever I'm close, getting protective of the ladies. The others are nipping at shoes/pants, but seems to be more curiosity / search for food.

    Duck Breed Focus - Muscovy

My 3.5week olds like me to be around when they are outside and foraging, and start peeping when left alone. They are fine in the coop. At what age do they feel more comfortable on their own outside? It's nice to be part of the flock and all but ...

    Duck Breed Focus - Muscovy

Any guesses as to which colours these will have when they grow up? The very edge of the light one's tail is dark. The beak/feet on the lighter speckled one are light.
