Wanted hurry and post before my phone crashed again. She is much lighter than her dad, I'm told he's blue. No brown in her at all. Very even coloring that I just love. She's a keeper. New babies have some very light colored ones, I didn't keep most of the first batch, thinking of hanging into...

Trying to post pics from my phone, not going so well. I have a clutch hatching today, under a duck. My first hatch using the bator was a disaster. We saw pips, and waited and waited, and NOTHING! Started checking them out, most were dead in shell, after pipping. Found two alive, both piped at...

I dont have any pics, but I have questions, I have 20 some odd eggs in the bator, Candled, removed clear ones, candled the following week, they are growing well. But thats half the battle I suppose, mom has hatched chickens, but never ducks. These were started under a hen, but she abandoned them...

I hope my blue boy keeps his black and red caruncles. I prefer it. If one of my drakes got so bad as that show one I think I'd be# forced to eat it.

I clipped my girls, one wing only, a couple weeks ago, and yesterday, one flew over the fence. I got her back and clipped them all even shorter. today two of them were trying to fly in the yard, but they only got like a foot off the ground. Are they going to compensate and still fly?!

Question time again... is it possible for a drakelet to be developing flight feathers early? Or a ducklet to be bigger at 6 weeks? Lol which is more likely? I have 4 definite girls, and what I thought was 8 definite boys. "George" is big like the boys, but has just as much flight feathers...

I discovered floating the cat kibble in a bowl of water entices them to eat it. They like it squishy.
