    are you at the "Autosexing" stage yet? this is only possible if the male is double barred, meaning if it has two copies of the sex linked barring gene

    the Golden Cuckoos are autosexing... Females will be brown with a white/cream headspot, males will be grey with a headspot. males with only one copy of the barring gene will look like females at hatch. post pics of your chicks please

    Golden Cuckoos and Black Copper and Birchen maran, all of them carry the Birchen(ER) e allele. Cuckoo Maran Carry Extended Black(E) e allele instead, both produce black chick down(or blue when the blue gene is pressent)

    if you are dividing the progeny into sex. then its 50% of all pullets will be Barred(with the single barred male) and 50% of all pullets will be solid black..
