if you want to have "Golden" cuckoo looking birds it would be best to cross the crele looking male to BCM hens.. this will produce "Golden" looking birds, including females

the Golden Cuckoos are autosexing... Females will be brown with a white/cream headspot, males will be grey with a headspot. males with only one copy of the barring gene will look like females at hatch. post pics of your chicks please
Golden Cuckoos and Black Copper and Birchen maran, all of them carry the Birchen(ER) e allele. Cuckoo Maran Carry Extended Black(E) e allele instead, both produce black chick down(or blue when the blue gene is pressent)
