Ive been going back and forth wondering if one of my hens is a rooster. They are all about 6..7 months. He or she will crow whenever inside the coup when i let my dog out in the middle of the night. They will only do a couple crows and when i let my dog in they stop. Now when they are outside the coup they never crow. Ive read that hens can crow in the matter of protection. The whole thing throws me off because they never crow outside of the coup. Just kind of confused because i dont want to jump the gun and get rid of what i think is a rooster if he is a she.
