I do NOT have dogs outside, EVER EVER EVER

I am slave to them
My bird dogs were all born outside, and never a cold-related problem. Dad designed a 4' square dog box with a baffle inside; dog could go around the baffle, get out of the wind, and its own body heat kept the sleeping area relatively toasty.

We always tried for whelp dates as close to Jan 1st as possible due to the way the age divisions were set up in AKC & FDSB. The first litter I ever bred was due on Nov.30. Dad & I spent most of the weekend building a new box for mama to have her pups in, complete with a double insulated floor. Mama had other ideas; she dug out a nest under the box, which was up off the ground, and had her pups there in her gravel/dirt nest. When we found them next morning, everyone was dry, warm, and happy.

Good morning folks. Sorry about not being around much yesterday. I ended up cremating one of my aracaunas. I had to help out our neighbors and then I was cleaning my house. So far this morning I have stomped on a rat and have been getting kids going. I hope everyone's evenings went well! Oh, and of course the Sea Hawks lost, par for the course.
