I can't remember the last time my skelter was full (it holds about 2 dozen). I think it was last spring!

They are both full bantam cochin. He is frizzle blue, she is barred/cuckoo. Someone else can probably predict their babies better than me, colorwise, but the males should be barred and the females non-barred. I think she is carrying black? So the babies should be 50/50 black/blue, but I'm not positive about that. And some percentage can be frizzled.
Ooo! Ya know we have a Post Office in my little town.
Thanks. I like them!
They are stand offish, only like their own company. But really pretty. I think I will call them Victoria and Albert.
Thanks Deb. In a way it is helpful since I do need to get rid of one soon. I'm pretty sure I have 3 of Jack's offsring now, so odds say at least one is a cockerel and I can grow a son out to see if I like him better than Nugget.I can't imagine having to choose. I guess if a roo pushes you too far, they kind of make the choice for you.
I didn't take him out today (came close) because it was triggered by defending the hens. Plus, I do want more of his offspring so I'll keep him for a couple more weeks at least to get his colorful spangle genetics into those eggs.Oh Friday! I'm sorry. That's rough.
I was out with the little chicks earlier, taking pics and such. Walked back toward the run to grab the egg I had pulled, and one of the sebright boys followed me and went after my boot! I mean, they are so little, they can't do anything, but I did back him down. I think 'tis the season. Horny little tards. But they still need to know better.
Your CLB are really nice. I only have one hen left of my original three, and she'll be three this year. Every one of her eggs hatched perfectly! (Half Orloff though)They are stand offish, only like their own company. But really pretty. I think I will call them Victoria and Albert.
