My little duck was just trampled by my Emu. Her wing and corresponding leg are just dangling. She has a puncture wound under the wing. What can I do to help my poor baby???

I have rinsed with warm water and applied a bandage, but I am helpless on what to do about her dangling foot. I cannot feel any broken bone on the leg part itself. I am worried it may be a break inside??? Or a dislocation??? Help!!

Thank you.

My pigeon was attacked by a hawk (I guess a little different than being trampled by an emu) but he had a puncture under his wing and his wing and leg were dangling almost like they were broken. I think it was just a ripped muscle or something cause he was fully walking on it after a few days, although he limped for a few weeks.

I hope your duck is OK.

Dickens, my duck, is still alive. Her puncture site is looking ok. But her leg is just dangling. I can't feel any real "break" but it just seems totally useless. And she seems crooked too. Like the bad leg is somehow shorter, or pulled into her more. Maybe this is a muscle issue??? Tried to splint, but it seems silly to splint if there is no discernible break to stabilize. I may just try to keep her comfortable and see how she is in a few weeks??? I really don't want to cull her. I just can't do that. Anyone know if a torn muscle can heal in its own?
Her appetite is excellent and she gets up on the one foot every now and then to stretch
