The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

Anyone know what's going on here? It can hold its head up some, but it starts to drift until it's completely upside down. Got it in a cup with its head supported and gave it some Nutri-Drench.

Looks like Wry Neck. Vitamin E and selenium can help, not sure if those are in nutri-drench.

I also like to give mashed hard boiled egg yolks mixed with a little water, which happens to have vitamin E and is a great source of selenium. Hope it recovers quickly!

It is wry neck. I had one hatch for this hatch a long too..poly Vitamin! Worked in one day for it..you need to get it on that right away!! A drop, every two to three hrs. for the first day/night. Really, it works. I've had it work for two now.

Thank you! I've honestly never seen wry neck like this, but at least it's something I know I can treat. I just checked the bottle and it does have both in it, but I know I'll still have to feed it egg.
X2 Yep, wry neck/stargazer... Nutridrench works wonders for it... give it a drop or two straight 3x a day, plus a couple drops of plain water afterwards to wash it down... should pull out of it... :)

So 39 in the brooder, lost 3 (42 hatched), 9 in the incubator pipped but slow progress. Candled the remaining, some quitters, but opened & found 18 dead in the shell (clearly from yesterdays mishap.) Focus on 39 cuties in the brooder though:) I'll wait to see which way those last 9 go before posting a final count. So put away the bad bator and getting ready to set on Monday for my last hatch of the year (or so planned).
