My 15 day old duckling who is a male we think is sitting down and keeps moving his head up and down almost like hes trying to groom his chest but hes doing it repetatively like a tick. His tail feather also seem to be up constantly like he is tense. I'm really worried has anyone experienced this?
 
Hi thank you for the response he actually stopped doing it, he looked like he was preening but almost like he had a tick and couldn't stop doing it. I ended up giving him a warm bath and he seems to be doing much better is sleeping right now with his three siblings. Was panicked there for a second but he seems to be ok now.
 
I suspect their skin can get itchy from the dust from the food, and from the fact they grow so amazingly fast. I asked if he was a single, since that might stress him to the point of having a nervous tic - preening nonstop.

But it sounds like it is in the normal range of behavior. Please keep us updated on all their wonderfulness!
