Hi there,

We have a bantam something-or-other, no more than 7" tall. She was found under a parked car, and we adopted her. When I try to identify her, I usually come up with Sebrights or Sarama... However, my hen is "tea-pot" shaped. She doesn't have those vertical wings and tail, or stand up straight like a lot of the ornamental bantams.

We really like her personality-- she is very curious, smart (for a chicken), and friendly. She isn't cold-hardy, having lost a couple of toes in her year(s) as a stray in upstate new york. She is older now, and doesn't lay eggs anymore, but we'd like to have more like her around, if we can figure out who she is! Any guesses?? As you can see, she is colored like an old english, with a single comb. The last picture shows her on the Right , next to our other 2 normal sized (?) bantams.

...Also, can someone tell me what the official chicken terminology is for those "upright" birds, versus the "circular" breeds..
