I've got 3 eggs in the bator that are all pipped. None of them have been able to clear a hole yet out of the pip. The first one pipped 38 hours ago. It looks like he is trying to zip from top to bottom rather than side to side. The bulge he is working on keeps moving up and down for 9 hours straight now and still can't break a hole out. The egg rocks like crazy whenever it hears something.
The 2nd egg has been pipped for 34 hours. Finally, since the very first pip, I noticed some more action on the pip. Made the bulge slightly wider. Still doesn't look anywhere near being ready to come out.
Last egg pipped 16-24 hours ago overnight. One little crack and nothing since.
Temp is 98-100, humidity 73-77. They just completed day 28 about 5 hours ago so they're technically late. One other egg already hatched 40 hours ago and he took 36 hours from pip to hatch as well. Can't get any 3 of them to make a peep while the one that hatched peeped like crazy the whole time he was in the egg after pipping.
Is this normal to take so long? Should I candle them to see what the heck is going on?
