Hey Everyone,

Quick Question.

I was looking at the turkeys on porterturkeys and I seen the silver auburn and thought it was very beautiful. Normally the pages say if the birds breed true or not, but the page for the silver auburn doesn't say either way. So the question is....

Do silver auburn turkeys breed true?

Silver Auburn are homozygous and will breed true.

Males are bb, ee, nn and females are bb, e, n. These are the color genes that are different from the normal color genes as per the Turkey Color Calculator on Porter's site.
