Sooo... We have pardoned one of our turkeys this Canadian thanksgiving. She has a gimpy leg so we had pulled her out from the rest to recoup. At the same time we had a "suppose to be meat chicken" that we thought wasn't going to make it and pulled out from her flock. These two sleep in separate XL dog crates at night but go out on the back lawn together during the day. Now one won't go outside without the other, and now they want to slee in the same crate too. Both are about 15 -16 weeks old. Both are on turkey / chicken grower in their separate crates but now our chicken Tessa injures herself when separated

Trying to get to Mercy our turkey. Can I feed them the same feed ? This is our first go at turkeys this year so learning as we go.. Any advice or personal experience would be amazing! .

As stated, switch everyone to an All Flock ration, preferably a pellet as turkeys have trouble eating crumbles. Put out a separate bowl of oyster shells for the extra calcium needs of any hens.

X 2! This is the simplest approach to keeping a mixed flock -whether by species, age/laying status, gender, etc.
