I just got a mini rex doe to replace my poor Juliette tonight. I bought her at the auction. I am pretty sure she is a mini rex. She is about the same size as my buck and has the same type fur. But she has red eyes?? She is full grown, she has the poochy thing under her chin.

Is she an albino, or is this a recognized color? I don't have pics yet, but can get some tomorrow once it is light out.

ETA: Duh!! She is pure white with red eyes!

Another question, my buck is a broken tort, just like Juliette was, so is it ok to breed them together? Thanks!!

I dd a google search and found out that there is a red-eyed or ruby-eyed white mini rex!!

Poor Juliette, she was such a sweetheart! I'll miss her.

I payed more for this one than I did for both Romeo and Juliette, so she had better be a good one!!

Anyone have any ideas on what to name her? Something that would go with Romeo?

We raise mini rex... Yes there is a ruby eyed white or REW commonly called.... Your bunny is a color but.... it is covered by the rew color. What color is your boy? Your girl may also be of the broken varity. Breed them you will learn alot by the colors you get from her in the litter.
 
Yeah REW!!! its a recognized color and they are REALLY fun to breed... it is a GRAND genetics experiment. to try to figure out the underlying color of an albino animal... we had one that we discovered was a broken black... we named her Kanga get it KANGA-rew (REW)
 
There was a doe there that was I'm assuming broken blakc. It was white with black spots. I didn't think that would mix very well with a broken tort. It also seemed to have longer hair than my boy, and the REW doesn't. She is very pretty, I could tell by looking at her that she was a rex! She has 'that kind' of fur you know!
 
yeah that fur is great!!!!! I only have 1 MR right now she is a old doe that produced many babies here and she has earned the right to live out her days as a pet now!!! we give her lots of love now... I really enjoy holding her and feeling her fur!!!!

as for bunny gentetics theres many a webby about it.... I have a guru friend I ask all my q&a's too. I think black and tort are ok together but I will have to ask her!!!
