I got a peacock that is 2 yrs. old that me and my hubby are thinking is a black shoulder. Any ideas on what color he is.
I also purchased a peachick that the guy told me was a black shoulder, but I am thinking a white...... there is no coloring on the wings can anyone help with these. I'm sure someone on here knows there colors better than me. I have put a pic of the male peacock first then the peachick.

Yeah thats what I thought. But the only peafowl in his cage were black shoulders and india blues. So I thought that one of them must have a white gene. Does that sound right.

Yes I believe they are but with black spots. This one has no other coloring on it but white. Maybe it will surprise me and get some coloring soon. It is only a little over a month old.

Yes blue blackshoulder year old peacock, looks like a white chick hard to tell if any color in flight feathers. If white both parents would be split white.

Yes all blackshoulder hens have a white base color, with different colors flecking. Pic. show a blue BS and a Purple BS(cameo, and peach close to this also)

there was black shoulder and india blue in the pen. Do you think that it is possible that one of the parents has the white gene and can throw a white.
Because I don't see any coloring on the wings at all. I thought with black shoulders there would be a little brown on the wing.
