Anyone making a Silver Laced Orpington?

No

We've had too much going on here to leave DH to take care of everything.

Now I am curious! Please tell us why this would be a good thing.

Well....first blacks probably don't have Id & this is sex linked. id+ is recessive. All males from a mating to black would probably be Id/id+, making the next cross from there have in the region of 50% females with id+ & similarly in the region of 50% of males I/id+.
Buffs carry Co which is not on the same chromosome as the Pg-Ml. Though it is possible that blacks might also have both, but one cannot guarantee it. Though there are other reddening genes in buffs, columbian with silver seems to bleach this out.

I cannot wait to start my projects! I have some black orps coming and going to pick up SLW soon! I am absolutely in love with the SLO look.

Yeah, since the single comb SLW's have smaller combs like the orps its a good thing, single comb is easy to work with. I personally would use a splash to get all blue F1 then do blue to black if possible, why not get 2 projects done at the same time if you can.

Sorry I'm new and still trying to wrap my head around these genetics projects, but what do you get out of the blue to black cross? And how would you execute the cross?
