For some reason, these girls rarely have their photo taken, and some are coming out of their molts, thank goodness, so here are some of my sweeties. The flaming Lucille Ball redhead is my Nutmeg, called Meg, who came from BamaChicken's eggs. She is a RIR/Buff Orpington cross and quite a character.

This is Tux, one of the Poufy Head Triplets-have no idea what that white stuff in on her tailfeathers. They all keep getting it on them, and it's almost like white paint, but there is none. Big mystery! She's Cochin/Silkie x B.R.

Two of my three Silver Laced Wyandottes, dirty from dustbathing Violet and Lacy:

My Buff Orp, Sunny, my only ever broody, sitting in her favorite "apt". She has raised chicks one time for me and is the ultimate mother hen.

I think Meg must have quit laying for two months or so. It was quite awhile, longer than the older girls who molted. My poor naked BR Lexie is almost completely naked and wont stop laying! I wish she would so she could grow feathers.
