Can I see your indoor/house chickens?

I have Modern Game/ Hatch cross hen who comes inside very regularly (Im staying with my parents right now and my dad refuses to admit she isn't your average chicken) She was gifted to me by my best friends grandfather, and I was just going to keep her as a broiler (I thought she was a cockerel) But I swear, I have NEVER had a chicken that showed the same level of intelligence she does.. I had raised polish chickens for 4 years previously but Miss Rad showed me just how personable they can be. She is now totally spoiled and treated more like a human than a chicken :p

I personally like to empty her diaper every 2-3 hours, and I wholeheartedly reccomend Louises country closet ;)

I have found that game breeds can be especially smart and engaging.

By the way, your avatar is cool. I find it strangely disturbing for some reason.

So, how would you train a chicken to use chicken diapers? I have a three week old seabright pullet who is the sweetest chicken I have ever had and so I want her to be at least partially indoor. I tried last year with a silkie but it failed, utterly. Any tips?
(By fail utterly I mean that the bird would fall over and not move no matter how many times I put the diaper on our hope long I left him)

This is my little girl Cricket, I bought her from the feed store at a day old and put her under my broody hen, the first picture is her at 1 day old. At one week old she had a stroke or seizure. She was lifeless but my dad warmed her up and got her moving again, after months of bottle feeding and physical therapy she was able to walk, run, and eat on her own. I said "as long as she doesn't give up, I won't give up on her." The second picture is now, at almost a year old. She runs funny, her neck muscles are bunched up, she's tiny compared to her sisters, and she's the sweetest little thing. Loves sitting in laps, stealing the dog's bed, an chasing us around the house for snacks.
Because she's too small to wear a diaper, she has a little pen in our living room where she hangs out when we're away.
This summer we're going to build an aviary that she can stay in. She loves getting outside and enjoying the sun.
We're hoping to find a couple small, docile bird friends to live in the aviary with her. But haven't decided what would be a good fit

I know it's been a few months but I would reccomend some buttonquail. If handled a lot and from the moment the come out of an egg, they can be really tame and sweet. Otherwise they'll be a little flighty but they could still hang out with your little fluffy
:)
