Wow! That would make me pretty nervous too!
We've had a funny week. I sell chicks at a local feed store. So Tuesday I went in to drop off chicks, and the owner said, "Hey, your pig came in." I kind of laughed thinking he was joking, and kept working on unloading chicks. Then his wife asked Lydia if she wanted to feed the pig a peanut. Then I had to look- they really did have a pig in the store! He said, "do you need a crate to take him home in?" And I said, "Wait did you clear this with Lonny yet?" (My husband). He said, "No, this is your Christmas present. Merry Christmas!" HA!! Actually a woman brought him to them because she had raised him in her apartment and was going to get evicted if she didn't rehome him. They assumed we would have the room to care for him so passed him on to us. Ha. He's a micro mini, 6 month old unneutered male, about 15 maybe 20 lbs. Not able to be outdoors in these temps so he's in a crate in the laundry room and roams the kitchen with the dogs. He gets along great with Sofie, but makes Harper really really nervous- and keeps mounting her. So I've contacted another friend of mine, who already has two minis, who is going to take him tomorrow. It's been interesting having a house pig! He is actually fairly well behaved, and litter box trained. But we don't have the finances to have him neutered (they need special vet anesthetic) and they don't make good pets unless they are.
The name's Bacon. Kevin Bacon. But we just call him Kevin.
In other news, my husband finally got a job offer! Hooray! He's been laid off since June 28. It's been a long 5 months. It's only a sales job with a very low base pay, but it will work for now. He can keep looking for something more in marketing. Tulsa job market is really really slow right now.
