Quite right. Gamefowl are my favorite (group of) breeds, followed closely by a few of those fluffy Banty breeds. I'm excited for all these game babies I've got - so far it looks like a have one Wheaten stag, one Silver Wheaten pullet, one Silver Duckwing pullet, one Wheaten pullet, one Gold Duckwing pullet, and one Silver Duckwing pullet. And four more eggs in the bator. Hard to believe all these came just from my one Wheaten hen and Golden Duckwing cock. Not to mention I'm getting a 50/50 split of pea and straight combs. Based on what I've recieved I'm thinking I have 8 phenotypes and 12 genotypes possible from this cross alone... now if I could just get those legs to show. The daddy cock has these bright willow legs, and mom has slate, but all of the offspring are yellow or yellowish willow. I don't know a lick of leg color genetics, but I'm hoping the yellowish willows will darken up to their daddy's color as they grow.
I didn't know I was so into American games until now... I've always pegged myself as an Oriental fan. Apparently I like both quite a bit and I just had to get hatching to find that out... I'm still a sucker for Orientals though. I have my Ga Noi pair caged off on their own now and am excited to produce a whole lot more of those. The cock is Blue Red and the hen Black so the chicks should be real pretty.
