White tiny bugs on eggs

Thread Starter

I found our 4th egg this morning and picked it up, but it had about 8-10 tiny little white bugs crawling on it.  I squished them or knocked them off, but wondering what these are?  They don't fit the description I've read of mites or lice.  This is the first time I've seen them.  I plan on dusting in some DE today - Thelma seems to be too big for the next boxes we built so she is just laying in a corner of the coop.  I will dust all the bedding with DE to see if that helps any, but hoping someone knows what these bugs are??

Still on the honeymoon with DH........mom to 2 rat terriers, 2 chihuahua's, 1 barred rock, 2 buff orpingtons, and 1 EE......and 1 14-year old!!  All smack dab in the middle of the city.
