Hey there! Long time lurker, first time poster.
Anyway, I guess I just need to vent about how frustrating it is to try and find a food without soy in it. Adding this restriction to my already super strict medically necessary diet has made buying anything almost impossible, my poor DH is so patient with me. So, i usually have to make EVERYTHING from scratch, and i do mean everything, which is just a ton of time i don't have with school and work right now. There are only two or three restaurants in our area where I can eat out, so date nights are getting harder. At school, i can hardly ever find a snack if i didn't bring it myself. And church functions are the worst! I never get to eat anything at those! I usually eat what I bring, but it's kinda lame. Or if I forgot to make anything, then I get to sit there and look pretty while everyone enjoys their food. I mean, there's a gluten free table, but if that was all i had to worry about, i would be living the good life! (Seriously, though, i have two different friends with celiac, and they feel bad for me.) Anyway, I just wish life could be just a little easier sometimes. I'll get over it.
I'm sorry I'm the same way. I can't eat wheat, corn, soy, rice, garlic, onion, tomatoes, I'm allergic to pesticides in non-organic food... I can't eat at any restaurants either. we should make a restaurant that we can eat at LOL
