My nine week old Toulouse goose Pear was about to drink from his water this morning when he shook his head, a thick saliva-like substance was flung from his bill, and a lot of it. Is he sick or is this something that geese have just like humans?

Thanks!

No not really, the only thing different was he didn't run up to me this morning like usual. He's been back on grass these past two weeks and I've been cutting it every four days to make sure it doesn't get long like last time.

Are you still putting a little ACV in a plastic water pot? It can help with minor irregularities.
Has he done it since?

He looks like he´s doing fine. The grass he´s on looks fine.
Geese tend to be quite ready to throw up water anyway...they´ll do it if they´re picked up and frightened, etc...
Just pop a little ACV in his water every few days, it´s good for their system anyway, and make sure he has access to grit or clean builders´sand, a little crumb, and keep him on the grass.
Can´t remember, is he on his own?

Thank you! We are looking right now, we are for sure getting goslings and maybe two ducklings this upcoming spring, do you think he will be able to watch over them, or will he bully them?
