Hello:) I'm looking to buy Pekin ducklings from a hatchery but everywhere the minimum is like 10. I'm only looking for 3. Oh and not to pay 60$ extra for getting less than minimum:p

On last resort I will get 10 from metzer hatchery and sell 7. Just in case is there anyone in south Florida that is interested in a Pekin duck? Haha:)
Also do you think the pekins will get along with my Muscovy? Probably put them together when they are all older.

I've already tried all of those:( feed stores always seem to run out when I need something

Rural King usually gets ducklings in late Feb or March. They have a minimum of 2 where I live. Shipping is just so high on 3 ducklings and it is unsafe with these temps. The trucks are not heated and they can easily freeze to death. That is why they want to ship 15-20 at a time. I would just wait until I could pick them up locally. You can call your feed stores daily to find out if they have any. Then run and pick yours out.

An alternative to over-ordering and hoping to sell the extras you might want to consider finding a few other folks in your area (either by posting here or on a local FB group or CL) who also want just a few new birds so that you can all go in together on the order - thus meeting the minimum (or maybe even reaching the point of a price break) and saving on shipping overall by being able to split the costs and avoid the extra shipping charge.
