I know that I'm just a cranky old man but, I would see them in jail or me and a dog would see them in a hospital after they fell up the stairs a couple times.

That is not cranky. That is righteous indignation.
I think sometimes they count on people's dementia.
Who can say who did what or when or what happened?
Criminals rob and neglectful people neglect and all they have to do is spin a story that her mother can't say is false.

I am sick about this.
her Mom's poor arm. and the confusion of what is going on... I feel so badly for her and whoop whoop.

I'm not sure but think Whoop whoops parents are in UK and she went to get them settled and sell the house.

You're right DD, her parents are in the UK and WW is in South Africa. WW's been over there by herself for months trying to get this whole mess straightened out. Prayers for her and her family

I can't thank you guys enough for the kind words it really has helped me, I was feeling very sorry for myself and parents. However I have now got a really nice Polish couple who are coming into help with clearing, cleaning and sitting with mum whilst I get some 'kip'.

I have contacted the police but they say because there were so many people through the house it is difficult for them to fingerprint but they are going to follow up - just seems to take for ages. I am suing the home with a very 'nasty' lawyer (by all accounts they take no prisoners!!!) because this whole exercise has now costs thousands. Trying to get mum home to ZA will have to be boat as she won't be able to fly with the changing of 'rear end' lol so booked the QE from Southampton to Cape Town unfortunately I will have to send the one new carer I have who really is lovely and gentle I won't be able to go as have to be in ZA when mum arrives.

Anyway as long as I can get them home and safe everything will be fine. DD I did contact the newspapers but it is such a normal event over here they are not really interested locally - think I will go national can't lose anything by it.

Well onward and upward as they say!!! you all have a nice day - weather here ghastly pouring with rain and dark and miserable xx

Scott, I'm trying to fill in avatar-wise until we're closer to the Holidays. And it just happens to fit my frame of mind toda...ooh, look a chicken!

@whoop whoop so sorry you're going through this horrific ordeal. I think suing the home is the right call. The treatment of your mother was absolutely criminal.

TGIF, except this is DH's first day back to work for 7 days in a row, which means I have to work on my thesis (which I dread). So more like a Monday for me
