BYC Café

Oh goody, I can do the grinder bit again. Coffee on its way N F C.:D
I've been wanting a coffee grinder for ages but just couldn't justify the cost.
It does nuts and stuff as well.

(Shadrach, like a cat with two tails)
I have an antique coffee grinder and i don't even drink coffee! I just love old stuff.

Morning Cafe

Thanks for the coffee, Shad.
I made pancakes, sausage & eggs for breakfast. If anyone's interested in brunch, help yourselves.

My siblings and I got along fine until my dad passed away. Amazing how $$$$$ can 'split' a family up. Greed, hatred, disrespect, deceitfulness, all of it coming out. Funny how 'love for the family' evaporated in a single moment....actually 'tragic'.
Enough said, life goes on and you play the hand you've been dealt. :)
My brother never liked me, i sort of raised him. I was 6 years older and was his assigned baby sitter. Then when he was older he lived with us for a while and we gave him a job . But he disliked working. So he would just sit around in the store.
I really resented how he wore his fishing clothes to Dads funeral. He only showed up to get money. He never respected Dad, who did Cpr on him and saved his life when he was an infant.
At this point he never calls Mom , sends no cards or gifts. He just wants her to die so he can get money. Needless to say, i never call or visit him.

You'd love it here then Cap, that's all I have is 'old stuff' even my birds are old. :lau
I know plastic can be useful but i prefer glass, wood, and metal. My house would be full of antiques if it were up to me.

Does the machine still work Cap?

DH used to have an old one like that (minus the decorative details on the front). When he decided to sell it, it went for a pretty penny.

Same here, I dig the old school stuff. Use a French press coffee maker, tho' my grinder is new, shiny and red... my toast is made in the oven. Food prepared fresh with few exceptions, mostly some boxed scalloped potatoes and pancake mix. Frozen dinners are out of the question. My sewing machine is a 1952 Dressmaker that doesn't have a zig-zag feature, and was blessed to inherit the 50s stand mixer that was hubs a mother's. Also have clothes that are 20-30 years old. Hey! They still look new, and fit me!
