Will be moving there in June and will now have little over 2acres thinking great I can now have chickens called the town hall to check and they tell me it's zoned residential and I need 10 acres or more. The closes house to me is about 200 feet away and it's all corn fields around me is there away around this. Figure I would ask thanxs for any info
 
I'm in a similar situation in East Hopewell Township, PA. I'm trying to get enough support within the township to request a change to the ordinance. Unfortunately, after attending a township meeting, one of the board members is against the idea of changing the ordinance unless I get half of the township to sign a petition. I am working on getting an official proposal together. Once I get a proposal, I'll work on getting signatures. Everyone I've talked to so far, except that one board member supports the idea of allowing chickens.
 
Talked to the lady some more I can apply for a variance which is $350 and see what happens. It comes down to they want there money
