Hi guys!!! I bought 6 baby chicks, 4, weeks ago, all marked as pullets, but I can't help but worry I've got a Roo or 2 in the bunch with my luck last year, 5/7 were Roos!!!! So with that said... These babies are 4 weeks old and 1 is just so much "lacier" than the other 2 so now I instantly worry one or 2 aren't pullets!!!! No red combs/wattles, just light orange... But the colors are just throwing me off !!' Thoughts??? They are the 3 black girls in the middle. The other 3 are ameracaunas and 1 black sex link.

It's still very early to tell for certainty.

While even patterning is important, birds develop at different rates.

You would need to post better photos of the birds in question...better lighting, no cage wire, individual bird from profile as well as overhead shot (which you've got but pretty dark lighting). Head shots too for comb development.

At this point, I think you just need to wait.

My Wyandotte pullets will keep that sort of brown coloring to their combs almost up until point of lay. That much red, or orange for that matter, at this age is a bit worrying IMO.

Edited to add: If it helps, the other 3 all look VERY girly. lol
