First Time Egg Candler Scared!

Okay here is the wash tub I loaded it with 41 eggs last night at 11pm. since my wife wouldn't let me hatch on the dresser in the bed room this year I had to build a cabinet to put all this stuff in. I had to protect it from the cold and heat . some of you will know what this means I have more than a little Fred Sanford in me . even better customers are always paying me to bring things home so all I paid for was screws to build the cabinet . but it works you don't how much I wish I had know about the BYC before I bought my incubators From TSC don't ever buy one there.

Wash tub looks pretty neat!

When on day 20 do eggs usually pip?
I've had pips on early day 20, and I've gone until day 22 without a pip. You just can't tell exactly when it will happen. There are so many factors involved, and minute changes in temperature can speed up, or delay the hatch. That being said, on average I get my first pip midway through day 20, sometimes a chick on day 20, but I don't usually get a lot of action until mid day on day 21. The main thing is to be patient. It's going to pip, then do nothing for 4, 6, 10, even 16 hrs. It takes a lot longer than you think it does

You found a picture of me so much for traveling incognito if you know this your older than I thought .you guys need to get a life . after the 2 days I've just had I needed a good laugh thank you. It's the big lizbath Im coming to ya
I figured when you called me "boy" that you thought I was younger than I am. I'm not young, just very, very immature

They don't neccessarily pip on day 20. There is no way to determine when they will pip. If you hear internal peeping you can usually count on seeing a pip w/in 24 hours or so, but other than that it's a nerve wracking waiting game.

LMAO. I'm 41. But I also grew up with the interests and likes of my much older sibs which are 10/14/16 years older than me, so I had to listen to their music and watch their shows as a tot. My idea of music in my elementary years (and I have to admit they are still my favs,) are Run Joey Run, Last Man in the Bleachers, Seasons in the Sun, Billy Don't be a Hero, The Night Chicago Died, My Eyes Adored you...should I go on? lol
