That's what I'm hoping to do. I need to know all the faults, but at the same time this is the only roo I have. If I can get a more SOP roo, then Tate will be given some Am hens, and the SOP roo will stay in the BCM pen
ThanksThen you're already several steps ahead of others with good stock and no clue...
See the girl behind him in this pic? I'm hoping she will pull some of that Wheaten out of him
According to my father's sister, they had the direct decendant from Scotland's info somewhere, but no one would ever send us the info and I have not been able to find it myself. My father was the youngest of 10 children and he's 84, and only has his sister left who is not in good health, her mind started slipping long ago, so unless I can find the parentage of my great great grandfather I'm screwed. I have seen William Campbell Smith come up many times in my research though. (I've spent hours pouring over ancestry.com and google searches.) I do want to, before my father passes pay for the paternal DNA testing to see what that reveals. I think it would be interesting.Purple tips on combs can happen due to hot weather, circulation/oxygen flow or when a roo feels... feisty...
Only have 1 pic of my boy right now, since he usually stands on my foot, lol... but I'll post it and a few of his girls...
Sorry, my grandpa was Campbell from his mother, they came direct from Scotland... he was William Campbell Smith and my grandma was a Curnow from Cornwall...
Just had me curious...
Gorgeous. I appreciate you posting that picture right behind mine, because when you see them that close together you can really see how off my color is. That hen in the second pic is beautiful
