I have been told to embrace the dirty waterfowl egg, so I have, begrudgingly, but they're developing in the incubator so who am I to say otherwise. lol View attachment 2047081

I know in theory, it's ok, but.... The icky ones tend to get washed and refrigerated.

Believe me, I'm with you on this. If my chickens give me a dirty egg it goes in a separate basket that I cook and give back to the chickens. It never even makes it to my fridge, lol! The waterfowl eggs I have to take what is given to me from the breeders....well, there's lots of accepting of dirt involved with those eggs.

Then you should hatch all of her eggs and reproduce that quality in ALL ducks. lol

...because I like clean eggs in my incubator too. lol

Today my ducks dirtied the buckets of water before my husband even got them to their spots glad the chickens have water cups on their bucket and that the ducks hate those.
