I have to get the lagoon up and running. There is a 30-40 foot round pool behind our barn that when full is about 5 feet deep. Several years ago DH cleaned it out during a dry spell It had everything from old tires to tree stumps in it. Unfortunately the darned thing leaks now and won't hold water. Our plan is to clean it out again and drop a liner in it. Do some landscaping and create a habitat. We have a one acre pond on our property but there is no way I would EVER let ducks swim in it although I've seen wood ducks hanging around, because it is filled with snapping turtles. I am hoping that this year the liner is going to happen and after that happens.......maybe........just maybe. I told DH I could hatch my own calls in the incubator and he countered asking me if I could get the eggs from the Amish guy I get my OEGB eggs from.

I don't think Amish are into call ducks, unfortunately.
