As we have been able to watch Dakota get used to her new surroundings, we have noticed that her eyesight changes with the amount of light. Too much light and she can't see well and hides her head. Not enough light and she can't see well, but uses her nose and ears to locate herself and others. I have been shocked at how well she can play with her sister Bo. We are starting to make her find us in the house now. She hears well and smells better, I am thinking that her eyesight will make her a wonderful search dog. Time will tell!

You have not said what has happened with Henry. I didn't persue a possible home, 'cause I thought he was taken. I may know someone that would like him and spoil him more than we would. Let me know if I should check.

I bet her since of smell is awsome! When my deaf girl Iris was growing up I use to hide from her all the time and let her sniff me out, when we'd go hiking or trail riding she is the one dog I can not lose! She would have been an awsome search dog!
