8 month old is waddling and has major loss of balance at times. I'm thinking its a he (not sure). This started a few weeks ago and it first showed up as small symptoms of poor coordination. This week he has gone downhill and yesterday he could barely walk after he was turned out for exercise. Today wasn't as bad but he is still standing with legs splayed out alittle.
This is a mutt chick, and was pecked in the head at birth. He was brought inside until 4 months of age. He does seem to be "behind" in growing. I'm starting to wonder if this is a neurological problem or possibly issues from lack of growth. The bird has been outside for 4 months and gets daily turnout and sunshine.
The crop is always very full, I suggested that his crumbles and treats be limited.
This is not my chicken, its my moms. She is very attached to "tweet" and I am willing to get the bird any help if possible.
My gut instinct in raising many animals over the years tells me that it may be to late
