That's hilarious! I have to confess, both of my remaining Biel girls have a tendency to do things like this, especially when it's hot. I've watched them lay an egg while gulping down their feed, seemingly oblivious to what they've done until the other hens alert them to the fact that they just laid an egg. Then they sing at the top of their lungs before remembering that they wanted to eat. Funny, funny birds!

I found a stash of eggs from Hen Solo. (Biele Pullet who I thought slow to start.) In 2 weeks, I only got 3 eggs. Then I found 8 eggs hidden behind the coop. I can't believe the dogs or another animal didn't find them 1st!
