Here are a few more pictures of my ambiguous sweetgrass. I am still getting jake vibes from it. The darker breast feathers for one. The red snood where my other hens snoods have blue or pale colored snoods. And it's size. It's hard to tell much from pics but it's bigger than any hen I have. It has big thick shanks like a jake. But it doesn't remotely act like a jake. And it has a mohawk. It is 6 months old. Took these pics today after we moved my sweetgrass "quad" to their breeding pen. It is lighter in color than my other Sweetgrass.

This is my older sweetgrass jenny from my original 12. She is pretty spicy toward the others.

Pardon her wet appearance, it's been lightly raining almost constantly for days.

My first 4 heritage turkeys were sold as 2 pair, sexed by the leg method by breeder a month before I bought them from first buyer.
Looked like 2 pair at 6 months.
One day I went out and had 4 jakes.

That was unfortunate! lol I'm sorry that happened!

I have a feeling I'm going to walk out to feed one day and that bird is going to be strutting and gobbling. I know it appears female in many ways, but it gives me male vibes. It may end up turning out to be a late-blooming jake, but only time will tell.

Wanted to share a video of my strutting poult. It was one of the little black ones when they were about a week and a half old or so. One of the rusty blacks was strutting too but I didn't catch it on video. I made a YouTube short out of it.
