A "Soft Shelled" egg???

I've been dealing with my sick RIR this week (see floppy comb thread) and today there was a soft shelled egg on the floor of the coop...
What is that, why & what do I need to know? (I lOVE this site!)

Calicum, in the form of oyster shells (Which you can get at local feed stores), or eggs shells would harden the shells.
 
They get crushed egg shell daily, and oyster shells pretty regularly also. (We're currently out of oyster shell.)
They also free-range & are fed a lot of chicken friendly table scraps.
I don't think lack of calcium is an issue, unless she just isn't absorbing it properly..? Any other reason this may occur?
