American serama thread!

They are little cuties. What do Silkie x serama cross look like when mature?
Because my serama roo is silkied, they all look like mini silkies.

The recent blue one is my 1st exception. My 1st 4 crosses were all brown fluff, black skin, 10 toes, with smaller crest & cheeks, & smaller than the mama. Later we found out all 4 were females. Strange coincidence! Only one had a single comb; other 3 had a walnut-like comb.

Now I have 2 more silkie serama crosses & my 1st blue one. Sadly, the blue has 9 toes, but I'm sure it will end up a spoiled pet.

New this morning..Mama stargazer/wry neck looks better today as well :) other still laying teeny eggs ?

I hatched a bunch of seramas on March 8th. All of the other breeds have now sold, but the seramas have not. So last Thursday, the 14th, at almost a week old, I took 3 chicks out and put them under a group of 3 broodies sitting together. Prissy and Dolly are both experienced, and Prissy had already been sitting for a couple weeks, when Dolly and another pullet joined her (more rooted her out)
So Friday morning, I pulled Prissy and the 3 chicks out of the nest box, into the coop box that the nest is attached to. Today, 4 days later, Prissy and Dolly are happily tending the chicks, and the younger pullet is still on the eggs. :clap
