I had a gorgeous silver magpie named Cupcake:
I just set more eggs from the same breeder so I'm hoping to get more magpies
I know but she is not blue is any form of colour..It's actually Charcoal and then Black..Sent picture to breeder here and they call her Charcoal and black Magpie..I know I shouldn't of posted her...It's very common for blues to have black leakage View attachment 1372559
...You're welcome, Sweetie.
This is a great resource. The Call Duck Association also has some excellent posters that show a lot of the colors Calls come in:

That's fine.."charcoal" isn't a color. It's a made up name for a color. Like how some people like to call lilac "mauve".
Blue is a dilution of black and that's what your duck is. The black bleed through is common on blue ducks in any breed.
I love how truly cute he is. Why are these little ducks so cute?I'm never going to learn all the call colors!
Always called Bacardi a silver, but he looks pretty close to blue magpie?? or silver magpie??

Oh, sad. I just read this after my last post. I'm so sorry, Nat.A hawk got him back in March. But I'm sure some of his offspring just hatched, as one of my hens was already making her nest at the time I lost him.
