The plot is, it's 14 years after Akakabuto was killed by a dog named Gin, a huge thing comes and attacked called Kuibutsu (meaning monster in Japanese ) So the son of Gin, Weed sets off to find his father runs into things and Kuibutsu, after that a dog Hougen comes in and tried to take over Ohu, so Weed has to defeat him.

In other words it's the sequel to Ginga Nagareboshi Gin.

It's mostly in Japanese but it has English subtitles. It gets pretty good nearing the end, I just about cried.
