. Maybe next year I'll be able to squirm out of work and make the trip too. I'd love to meet all the wonderful ppl that are on this forum and see the gorgeous birds in person.

Just wanted to share my Pencil Calls I got at Shawnee. They are stunning little things(and yes, I am aware that they are not perfectly typey, they are still in the works).
The little hen is hell on wheels-she jumps on every hen, drake, whatever that comes around-she's a mess!

I'm going to jump in here too and share!

The new Pied Call pair I won in the raffle from Patty Pickard (the hen only wants to pose for "ducky porn", so you'll see less of her):

fantastic exhibit of large Buff Orpingtons

Guess you were not talking about my trio. They were the SMALL ones. Good breeding and bloodlines, just hatched a bit late. Though many said I have a good start. Hoping to hatch lots of early chicks.

The others were FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

we have the lights on our breeding pens and have eggs in the bator so we will be ready for the Crossroads show in fall 2011. We are hatching early for us this year and will sell the rest come early spring so we can pay the feed bill and fund the shows, but we still seem to come up short.

It is all about the fun of showing and breeding anyways right?
