Cleo is 9 weeks old!!! any guesses on breed and gender?!Chick #1: Cleo
Cleo is a sweetie. She was purchased as a straight run "breeders choice". We are thinking she is an EE pullet.
We'd appreciate a guess on age, too!
We're pretty certain miss Chirpy is a hen. Agree?? She is 8 weeks old!Chick #2: "Chirpy Peep"
This was sold to us as a prairie bluebell pullet. Agree? Guesses on age/coloring?
Y'all were right and Cheecko was a roo! We ended up keeping a more hen looking Amerecauna instead....Chick #4: "Cheeko"
This chick was sold to us as a straight run Ameraucauna.
We're REALLY hoping this one is a pullet. Thoughts on coloring, sex, age?
That's our fearI think all are pullets except Cleo might be a cockerel
With that giant red comb and splotchy red patches coming in on the shoulders, I’m really leaning cockerel for him but then again the rest of the color pattern looks pullet so it’s tough to say yet. That's our fear

The saddle feathers don’t usually come in until at least 12 weeks with those so that’s why you’re not seeing those yet but I agree that you probably won’t know until the crow or egg with this one LOL the others I think are pullets.Yeah, that's actually exactly what I've been thinking. I'm pretty confident the others are pullets, Robin and Chico might maaayyybe be roos, but Cleo I'm leaning like 75% roo. She/he has thick legs, too. But she/he doesn't act like a rooster at all, and I don't see saddle feathers? I feel like with Cleo we won't know until the crow or the egg
