BYC is not responsible for transactions outside the BST area of the forum. All swaps are at the swappers risk and in no way will the Staff be involved in disputes. All disputes should be handled privately as per BYC Rules. No feedback and no feedback threads are allowed in these swaps. Do not report issues with the swaps using the report button. Please resolve all issues privately with your swap partner and/or the the swap originator. BYC discourages all transactions outside the regular BST area. Non monetary swap transactions are only allowed in this forum and only in a Swap thread. You must be 18 or over to participate in any swap, trade or any other transaction on BYC. All BYC Rules apply.

Let the quilting begin!
I am on BYC often, and I will be available to answer questions, and all who send blocks will receive blocks from whoever else takes part. I ask that when you ship all of your blocks, add a large SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) for easy block shipment. ALL BLOCKS are sent to me (yes, even yours your keeping) so that I can be sure every pile of blocks sent out contains one from every single sender. It’s confusing to keep track of 12 - 15 different piles, and who doesn't need one. I want no mistakes, so make and send them all.
TO SIGN UP: Please put "SIGN ME UP" OR "YES, I'M IN" or something all by itself in a post on the forum. (Or, put it first, then elaborate) Please post you want to be involved HERE on THIS THREAD.
Thanks
Kat

Block requirements:

This will be the Arrowhead block
This will make an 11.5" block

Number of Blocks: 12
Due Date: August 23rd
One 10" square can be a print of any kind with a contrasting solid 10" square. You can make the blocks the same or all different.

You can follow these instructions or go to the web site
I made the block using a 10" pre-cut the finished block is 11.5 x 11.5 the cuts on the 10" block was 2.5 inches, these cuts are different than in the instructions use 2.5" cuts on your block

you sew 2 10 inch squares right sides together, using 1/4" seam, Sewing 2" from the top right edge, pivot 1/4" from the corner and sew to the bottom left edge, sewing 2" from the left edge, sew to the top left corner, pivot 1/4" sew to starting point, top right edge.

cut the unit diagonally through the sewn corners, stack the triangles, carefully aligning all edges, make sure you place the cut triangles together as shown in the diagram. Measure 2.5" from the left edge and cut through all layers, Without disturbing the stack, measure 2.5" from the bottom edge and cut through all layers. Iron, arrange the units as shown, sew and trim to 11.5"

Have not started working on these blocks yet, but I will eventually. I've been working on this quilt and another for gifts. Most of the blocks on this quilt have musical notes on the fabric. I have a couple of weeks to finish another quilt (I've barely started it).

Kat, I might be in, can we alter due date to August though, if not September, it's about the journey not the destination!

August 23rd is the new due date
I have you down!! check out the new due date
I'm in but a bit confused are we using the 2" or 2 1/2" for the cut line on our blocks for this swap?
Also Aug. would be better for me too.
Aug 23rd is the new due date and we are using the 2 1/2" cut for our blocks

oh and your room sounds like it will be a dream and we will need pictures when it's done, we love pics, don't forget the t.v.,fridge,microwave,coffee pot, pull out bed, and the do not disturb sign, lol

That labyrinth quilt has been a hot item on Facebook. My aunts have been showing it to me. I'm definitely interested. Just show me the way :)

Today was the long awaited "barn raising" at our place. My husband has made the frame that all goes together with pegs, no nails . All of the people helping have volunteered, some we have never met before.
There is an Army Major, a Navy Man who is one below Admiral and a guy from the airforce who saw it was happening on a Facebook page, so we have all the armed forces represented !

@Ohhappychicks sorry for the confusion, this is only a 12 block swap, so you will have to make extra blocks for a twin, sorry the flower dust has clouded my brain

And I forgot the most important!! I bought some fabric today!!!

Deal of the week, Our Kmart is closing so they had this Brother computerized sewing machine I have had my eye on, hoping that no one would pay attention to it and waited and waited for the price to come down, well it is now in my house, I got $45 dollars off,so I paid $135.00 my first new machine, lol the ones I love are my mothers hand me downs nothing wrong with that but the one I use all the time really needed to be serviced and I was afraid that it would die on me, lol and then I have old faithful the machine is way older than I am and a good back up but then she can be temperamental so anyway I walk into the house and my DH just shakes his head and says this house better start smelling like a carpet mill, lol So now I have some decorative stitches, still looking for my embroidery machine but that one will be a while. The one I used all the time, the thread spool pins had fallen into the machine and I had to use a pencil stuck in the machine to put my thread on, then only certain spools would fit, yep I needed a good back up. Betsy is going into the shop today!!!
