We get 4 eggs almost everyday from 5 girls. Very happy with egg production on my Augsburgers

I had one go broody at 8 months. A few ice cubes did the trick.

I can see 2 duplex combs on the chicks that I hatched 3 weeks ago... amazing... they are so little.

They are such an awesome bird, we delivered about a dozen to Indiana on a trip up north last week.

At hatch it is visible.

I am amazed at how well these babies can fly!

I'm so glad my run has a net over the top. I have one cockerel that hops up on the coop and flys a good twenty to thirty feet to land on the trampoline and he is only about three months old. It is so fun to watch because my bantam light brahma tries to follow suit but can't even get up on the coop.

Poor thing tries though. My Auggie boys are already shaping up to be awesome flock protectors, too. The more I see these birds in the run the more I love them.

My Augsburgers do not have a ceiling but that have 12 ft walls and they sure can fly.
