Bantam chick genetic parentage and sex

Those new pics are of Pidgin. I thought the red on the wings was a duckwing pattern and boy only?

I'll snatch the other little buggers out of the coop tonight to take more pics!

it only started to come through yesterday with some new feathers. I really really wanted to keep this one, as I've never had a grey/blue chicken before 😔

Ok, so I've taken more pics tonight. Will post each chick separately as I edit the photos.

They are 6.5 weeks old

Here is Tutu.

Warning: I will be photobombing this thread!

I think (hope) she is a pullet 🤞🤞🤞 She is the only one I am 100% certain of parentage. She is a bearded silkie frizzle polish cross. She feathered in way earlier than all the others. She is quite squat in stance and doesn't have massive feet.

Here is Purdy.

I think cockerel because of the big feet, pink wattles and swollen comb. He is the smallest of the four and has more delicate features compared to the other two I think are boys. Please tell me I'm wrong about the sex!

I'm thinking his mother is a wyandotte because he doesn't look like he has any polish or pekin in him. She has a rose comb. He is only just growing a tail this week.

This is Pidgin again.

I think cockerel due to wing patterns coming in, but again, please prove me wrong!

Another chick who I think is half wyandotte, half silkie. The Wyandotte is the only hen I have who is part splash to make this one blue I think. Tail feathers slow to appear, big feet. Bearded so no wattles to gauge. small flattish comb.

And finally....Wyatt.

I've thought he was a boy from early on. And also half wyandotte too. He is bearded so no wattles. Comb is way flatter than Purdy's. And narrower I think. Tail arrived this week same as the others. What do you think: boy or girl?

They ALL chest bump and play staring contests with each other. Seem quite confident and friendly but not super tame.

I have to guess your wyandotte is the mother of both Wyatt and Purdy. They do not look polish or cochin. Looks like they will have rose combs? You are right, hard to tell at this age. They are so adorable, please post photos as they feather in!:love

I have!
