I have bantam wyandottes in 3 different colors , black , blue, and barred. I keep them separated at all times and always have except for last year having a white rooster over my black hens to start my barred line. This year everything had been separated all winter and when I started hatching from the black pen Ive had a few chicks come out looking like gold laced birds. These are the same black hens Ive had and none from the cross from the whites. Kind of confusing but just curious where this could have all the sudden popped up from. Some of my blacks have leaked red in the past but always culled them out. Any ideas what may be going on?
